The cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, and San Ramon offer several schoolsof all levels, both public and privately funded.
Livermore High School is one of the oldest in the area, having been established in 1891. It is also a notable school because it became the first union high school in the state of California. Livermore is also home to Las Positas College, which is part of the California Community College system, along with Chabot College, its sister school in nearby Hayward.
San Ramon’s California High School is considered to be one of the best high schools in the state. It is also a part of the East Bay Athletic League and has a very strong football program, thought to be one of the best in the NCS (North Coast Section) conference.
